This Skull Whiskey Decanter and Glass Set might be a good gift or for your own use, though be sure to read the full review.
In total, the set comes with a skull decanter, four skull glasses, and one tray.
The skeleton skull decanter is the best part of this set. The decanter holds 750ml and has a simple cork stopper. The diameter of the decanter opening is about 1 inch, so you may want to use a funnel (not provided) when pouring into the decanter. The decanter itself seems very solid and well-made.
The set comes with a wooden tray with recesses cut for the glasses and decanter. The tray itself is small and has no handles nor indentations to ease in lifting, so it’s not really a serving tray — it’s more of a tray for display. The quality of the tray seems OK — all surfaces were painted, which helps with liquid resistance, and the material is felt to be some sort of wood.
The glasses have a very interesting skull shape on the inside, and the skull is really visible when you pour in non-clear liquids. Unfortunately, compared to the decanter, the quality of the glass in the glasses is poor — the glass is very thin and the bottoms of the glasses are open. In fact, each of our glasses had defects in them — in one of the pics I posted, you can see a closeup of the glass. I do not feel the glasses we received should be used to drink from — after our experience with the glasses we decided the best use for this set is as part of a holiday display for Halloween.
So all in all, this set has a very interesting skull design, though it seems a better use is in a display rather than for actually serving beverages. Given the marginal value of the glasses and tray, if you just want a whiskey skull decanter, you could instead just buy a 750ml bottle of Crystal Head Vodka — you would then have 750ml of very nice vodka as well as a reusable whiskey skull head decanter, all for cheaper than this whisky decanter set.
