plagiarism

I just found out a recent article I wrote for the fitness and martial arts magazine Breaking Muscle has been plagiarized by jiujitsutimes.com.

The article I wrote was “6 Life-Changing Ways Your Black Belt Journey Can Transform You,” and can be found online here: http://breakingmuscle.com/other-martial-arts/6-life-changing-ways-your-black-belt-journey-can-transform-you.

The plagiarized article at jiujitsutimes.com by someone named “kitt canaria” is “The Journey to Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt,” and as of the writing of this blog post, can be found online here: http://jiujitsutimes.com/blog/the-journey-to-jiu-jitsu-black-beltg/.

It is my understanding that jiujitsutimes.com has plagiarized other original articles from Breaking Muscle and other sites, and that Breaking Muscle has asked them to remove the plagiarized articles.

The scam of a business model used by jiujitsutimes.com is that they plagiarize original content from other sites, display it on their site as their own content, and then get income from ad and other revenue sources from the resulting traffic.

So I hope now folks know the type of people behind jiujitsutimes.com.
