I’m back from my tangent to Freeport, Maine, home to the above L.L.Bean flagship store. Actually it’s more than just one store – it’s rather like a campus, with entire buildings just for camping and hiking gear, apparel, footwear, outerwear, canoeing, etc.
During the 11″ snowfall that hit when I was in Freeport, the L.L.Bean store was open. In fact, they are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Cause you just never know when you’re going to need snowshoes.
