Below are some weekend reading links. Not sure why so many of my links this week include Hobbits–perhaps it’s because my subconscious relates to this time of year, when there’s nothing better than talking a long walk through the woods, listening to the crunch of leaves under foot, smelling hints of mushroom and roasted chestnut in the air, and sitting, after dinner, with a book by the fire.
There are also a few funny links–in case you get it in your head to go after a PhD in the Humanities or Theoretical Computer Science. You’ve been warned.
